EVGA Advanced RMA. A+++ - 10/10

I just want to spread some positive feedback about EVGA advanced RMA as normally people only really comment when they have a problem. I would like to do the opposite and praise EVGA for a very efficient and fuss free RMA turnaround of my faulty 1000w G1 powersupply.

This RMA system worked extremely well for me. The whole process of getting me a replacement was sorted well within a week and once I sent my faulty unit back they refunded me the money put forward for collateral.

All in all along side another PC parts e-tailer, evga have been top notch for aftersales support and customer service.

They only pay for adanced replacement. It cost me a little over £3 to send my old one off.

Everything was setup and return confirmed received within a week. Replacement was delivered early the following week and collateral refund was in two days later. So less than two weeks to have everything completely sorted.
 
Don't get me wrong, that's a fairly quick standard RMA turn around. But if i'd forked out for an 'advance' RMA to minimise downtime I'd want the replacement part sent next day shipping and at my home within 24hrs, 48hrs tops. Waiting a week for the RMA to be 'confirmed' and the replacement not coming until the week after, essentially being without a PC for over a week, doesn't scream 'advance' to me. I'd be expecting the replacement part much quicker.

I mean what was the initial week wait for? Surely confirming your warranty is a case of entering a serial number an a quick check of the database.

The replacement came within a couple of days. I dont actually remember writing it like! The RMA was all setup on monday 29/05 and I received the Replacement on wednesday that week 31/05.

It took two days from when I sent my old PSU back to receive my refund.

Hope that is making sense now as I have no idea what I was trying to say in my last post.

I used royal mail drop off. Paid online and sent through local hub.

Yes I did get the Replacement first as said above, sorry for the confusion.

They ask that you only send your old PSU back as they send just the unit itself. This may differ to others situations obviously but the unit received is a refurbished like for like replacement.

Oof, that's a bit painful to read, I've been waiting almost two weeks for a replacement to my 850 GS. 4 days for EVGA to authorise the RMA from when I raised the support ticket, collateral paid by me within an hour then another 5 days for them to ship the replacement. UPS tracking says that delivery will take 4 days so I'll get it the end of this week.

I was informed the same day and paid collateral immediately which by close of working day meant the replacement was sent asap the following working day for the day after. I honestly could not ask for fairer than that.
 
My EVGA G2 750W supernova went last night, PC just powered off and never powered back on, tried another PSU and PC powered ok, went through the EVGA site and did the standard RMA, entire service was very quick, received my shipment label etc. this morning and I just sent it of via royal mail earlier on this afternoon.

Pretty disappointed that the PSU didn't even last a full 4 years but I have a feeling that it was never quite right from the beginning as every now and then my PC would get a kernel 41 error so hopefully with the new one, I will no longer have this issue.

Hopefully will have my replacement on Monday or possibly Tuesday.....

Nope, that was the advance, I had to pay €153 deposit. It just took them ages to look at my support ticket in the first place (though RMA was authorised immediately after they got to it), then ages to ship the refurb, and that's taking ages to arrive (tracking shows dispatch from Germany, I guess none in stock in the UK which I can't really blame them for). Really surprising as EVGA are normally very good as you've found out.

Past two weeks my GPU has been on my desk and I've been using an old "800W" no brander PSU that's perched precariously on a box in the bottom of my case because the cables were too short to reach the motherboard connectors. :D
 
Well my RMA arrived today and what a pleasant surprise I had :)

I sent them an EVGA 750W G2 super nova and they sent me a brand new EVGA 850W P2 supernova PSU! :D

Nicely done EVGA :cool:
