EVGA being stupid?

Can someone explain to me why my graphics card isnt moving from 548 when there is a game running. Normally it sits at 1200 but its being insanely stupid and my frames are suffering badly from this.

Effects all games, Not just WOT. I've had this before when the graphics card never kicks up to what it's set for. Maybe a RMA thing.

K-Boost does not work on later drivers as Precision is old now (till Sep build).

Instant BSOD for me if I enable it and others on EVGA forum also.

I have a few games that will not go past Base Clock and not sure why.

An easy fix would be a roll back to older drivers and test. Precision X K-Boost feature would work too.

I have a 590 with the latest Beta drivers installed and K-Boost is supported on mine.

Older drivers that old may not support new games fully.

I use AB for now to get 64bit support and a modded bios with boost disabled so there is no Base Clock vs Boost Clock.

Your card is not a 700 series with Boost 2.0, that is probably the issue I would guess my older 680 4GB with Boost 1.0 would work.

Since when did the 500 series have Boost Clocks so I see no point in it?

works fine for me on latest beta drivers

I was on 2 driver builds ago last time I tried it, now on latest Beta but using MSI AB instead so cannot test it.

Double check that it hasn't set the clocks to 548 and that it has actually downclocked itself.

Had it before, AB had set my clocks to 500 on the core and performance was shocking.

Thank you jh30uk! In absolute honesty, I'd only just started fiddling with profiles and overclocking in Precision X last week.

My extent of research about K-Boost had only gotten as far as finding out it's function, not if the function worked on my card. Mainly because I hit the button, screen flashes a few times and K-Boost turns green so naturally I assumed it was armed and functional.

Guess I don't need to hit that and suffer the window resizing and flash/JavaScript/video crashes after all. Nice one mate :D

Jesus, does it cause that for you?

Set 2 profiles, lower all sliders as far as they go and save and do same for your max overclock you have found.

Then is settings add the 2 profiles, now when you visit Youtube etc it will use the lower profile instead of going to far higher default clocks than it really needs to and the 2nd profile will be when you load any games.

Hi, in case you face any issues like this that are not occured by settings you have done yourself it is best to delete all driver off the system with a third party tool like driver fusion and also delete precision or whatever tool you are using then download and install the latest version and everything should work again.
About the KBoost, this will lock the clocks you are actually running so if you want to use it, it is best if you put the card under full load and then click the button but like mentioned, it do not always work with every driver...

So... what happened OP? Did you get it working? Did you try rolling back to older drivers (worth a shot if all else failed... not like WoT is breaking any graphical feats with new tech)?
