Are these cards any good? The model i'm looking at is the Superclocked 7900GTX 512mb.There don't seem to be a lot of info on these,is there a reason for this or should i stay clear....Thanks...Alan

theya re praised quite a lot but a friend of mine had to RMA a 7800gt(doa), a month later he emailed them to find out where his card was and they replied with "your going to have to out a little bit, we have been busy at CeBit" so from that i dont think i personally will ever bother with them as that is not on from customer service

they are more expensive than most other brands and i dont see anything that warrents the extra seeing their cards are the nvidia reference design, not even a sticker on the cooler or any overclocks athough there is on that particular model

I've owned and sold a 7800GT, those cards are pretty good, yes they are primarily US based and have a branch in Germany, Europe. Though I don't believe they have a stronghold on the European market yet with their EVGA cards like with the others...

EVGA cards are often retailed with higher stock speeds and are sold at a premium, but that's only in Europe and UK, they are retailed at reference prices in the USA along side other major brands like XFX and BFG cards. But that's irrelevant since you're buying from the UK I assume.

I think one thing to take note is, if in the event you need to RMA, there might be a lot of hassle especially when you may be forced to send the card internationally.

yer go for bfg their just as good as the evga thats what iam going for this week some one offered me 7800gt for £165 thought that was pricey because it was second hand when you can pick them up for 179.89= £200 or something like that.

Hi there

EVGA are great if your a US customers living in the US as you get lifetime warranty. However in the UK you get just a basic 1-2yr warranty believe which distributor/etailor look after which could cause considerable delays in replacements as some people have already found in this thread.

EVGA cannot compete with the likes of BFG or XFX who offer truly fantastic warranty services and don't charge such a premium unlike EVGA.
