With EVGA what you see in this advert is something you might be able to get at some point but we wont tell you when

Evga can't even talk when most AIB are getting their cards out there where are the evga ones? But a few Sc which is just a reference card with a different cooler strapped on

I'm not really sure what the to-do is with MSI and Asus anyway, all they did was auto enable a software setting that is also available on the retail boards, it just requires installing the disc that comes with the card, which reviewers don't want to do because reasons... the cards are advertised as being guaranteed certain clocks and the review bios enables that setting, you can get exactly the same results with a retail card by flicking an option to on

It's pretty simple, How many reviewers do you know that actually test the card with the gaming app settings? They test out of box for people who want the simplest plug and play option and overclocked for those that like to tweak there card. Like for like. In the past I've bought 2 MSI cards with the Gaming app (a 4gb 770 o/c edition and a 4gb 290x o/c edition) and I never installed the gaming app for either, I imagine plenty of gamers do the same so they're not getting to see a true representation of the card if the review samples are tweaked.
It's also interesting to note that the old MSI 290x Gaming o/c edition had a core clock of 1040 written in all the shop windows but it actually had a clock of 1030, again, unless you installed the gaming app and chose the correct option. Basically I ran mine at 1030 or I manually overclocked to about 1080 or 90 with different software so any review done with a tweaked sample would not show what I would get and as others have mentioned when you are talking about reviews showing lots of different versions of the same card a tweaked bio's will improve it's performance and change the cards true position in the stack.
I read claims that the review samples also had other tweaks, Did any solid evidence of that appear?
