I have a new build which is stable and all good. Not CPU or RAM overclocked yet.

I can play BF3 fine but sometimes randomly the game will minimise and I cant maximise it. It doesnt crash out just sits there using no GPU or CPU. I have to end task it.

The sound also stops.
 
Its not the PSU skyrim and all others work fine for hours.

I just set my pagefile back to the SSD OS drive and played a good long time, I think it was because I put the pagefile on the HDD 2ndry drive but BF3 was on the SSD.
 
I disabled the pagefile as soon as I got my SSD, with 6GB RAM + on a gaming machine you don't really need it. Killing it also saves some write cycles and disk space, although by the time it wears out you will probably have replaced it anyway.
 
bf3 is rife with issues, my money would on the sound card driver causing the issues, don't suppose you have a realtek HD soundcard do you? mine caused no end of trouble so I bought a Xonar and everything has been hunky dory since :)
