As per title. I've been given this graphics card, but my PC won't boot with it installed. It won't even enter the BIOS or wake the monitor up. The card is out of warranty.
Are these cards known to fail? Any easy fixes? Worth having it repaired?

My System:
i7 950
GA-X58A-UD5
14GB RAM @ 1600mhz
Palit 9800gt

The PC will boot and run with the 9800gt installed.

Thanks

It has two DVI-D and what I think is a mini HDMI. I've tried connecting to both DVI-D outputs, but don't have a lead for the mini HDMI

It does have a debug LED segment display, but it seems to act normal.
The PC doesn't beep at all, so assume there isn't a speaker connected. (Haven't looked yet).

I plugged the 550ti in as well as my 9800gt. It booted to windows, and the 550 is displayed in device manager. It says something along the lines of Windows as stopped the device....code 43.
I've had a Google, but code 43 could been almost anything, hardware fault, software/driver fault etc.
When it booted, I unplugged the DVI-D connector and plugged it into the 550. The monitor went into sleep mode.
I don't know if this helps at all?
