Built my system yesterday with the above board.

Just managed to install Windows Vista RC1 before it was time for bed but did notice in the bios that my MCP Temp was showing at 98degrees C

This was straight after turning it on. I assume it giving the wrong temp. Is this normal with this board?

Using the optional fan? The review I've seen says it gets hot if you don't, especially if you have poor air flow through your case.

well its definatly not the right temp, your chip would have been melting at that temperature, when next on your pc download the latest bios and hope that solves the issue

Mine is 42c, had to blu tak mine on as i dont own a screwdriver small enough to use the screws.

Mine was 85c!

Stuck the fan on and manually adjusted to 50%, sits around 55c now.
