Taking a good time sending out these thermal pads.
Theyre probably trying to figure out a way to charge £13.00 for postage like with that power adapter thats a "freebie".

I agree.
I've spent more time reading about this issue than playing games since buying the card![]()
Until you upgrade and try to sell it only to find its resale value has taken a kicking.
No thanks, mine is going back as soon as possible.
Well i now have confirmation i will be refunded, and i have a shipping label to send the card back to evga.
But of course i must be lying
I really hate being accused of lying, seeing as i am one of the most honest people around.
I assume you bought the card direct from EVGA?
this thread needs to be closed, its causing concern and damaging a reputable brand.

Why should this thread be closed?
re this mess its a source of good information for peeps with or thinking of purchasing the effected cards
Evga only have themselves to blame with damaging there own brands reputation
So to conclude, most buyers are *****?
Nothing new here.
There seems to be a lot of defending EVGA looking around on the web.. re there reputation ect peeps saying... its not that bad , there resolving the issue ect
Well they damn well have too period ....
What gets my goat as a builder and having sold a few cards in the effected range i am having to deal with it at my own cost / time. I have done three cards now with my own bought pads as i am not waiting around for EVGA to send out
...peeps are still waiting ....
Now the memory issues Samsung / micron bios updates... that's nothing these kinds of things are to be expected and its a simple update of the bios job done fixed..
But when your having to finish off a design by patching up & dismantle cards in the £400 £800 range this is a different matter.
All three cards i have done thus far have had some non contact of T pads to the Vram some worse than others.
Personally if it was me that owned the affected cards i would be going to the ends on the earth trying to get a full refund on the grounds of poor design being miss sold not working as intended product ... regardless of the 14 28 day return windows ....
Now i have had 1 client who has been able to arrange a refund from EVGA direct and his card was bought retail on line...
Evga should arrange with most / all retailers to arrange a refund as an option.......And cover the retailer 100% as this again is not there fault
a refund no questions ask regardless of how long the buyer has had it ....
The problems have been there since day 1
I think some folks at evga should go back to school and attend assemble GPU "101" apparently that class was missed.

Anyway to check this without having to remove the bottom metal plate?
