Well my 780i broke, went on the evga website to submit an rma, and they want $30 for the privileged?

Since when was that their policy?

Also does anyone know where I'll have to ship it back to?

If it's £20 to get it to me, and then £40 to get it to them, what's the point?

when i rma'd my card the wanted me to pay shipping to california and then pay them for shipping back. I had a go and said that it was unreasonable and the waived the return shipping fees. Still cost me 20 quid or so to ship it to the states

just say it was faulty and shouldnt have broken in the first place and that therefore they should cover it.

They didnt put up much of a fight with me, just agreed and then sent it by some crazily expensive super fast tracked airmail, which was nice.

It's a shame that Logitech don't make everything for the PC. Much easier to returns things if they did :p

too true, the just sent me a brand new set of Z-2300 speakers free of charge, just cus one of the had a tiny little crackle now and again. I love logitech.

Already sent them an email, should I ring them up or pot on their forums or anything?

they never responded to my emails, i eventually posted on their forum and got a reply soon after. I think i might still have the email address of one of the customer service managers or something in my gmail, ill have a look.

Edit: Booyah - Joe Darwin "Director of Technical Marketing" [email protected]

If you don't have any luck with the tech support email or on the forum, id drop him an email. He was pretty helpful for me, and waived my shipping costs.

I recently had to return a 8800gtx to evga. Unfortunately the main site is US focused (blinded) and it is the european one you want to deal with in Germany.

Best send off an email for a RMA to one of the euro staff listed on the evga site and yes you should only have to pay for it to be sent.

^^^^ Samfau2's option would be the best bet as their communication has really put me off them.

This.

Exactly what I did about a year ago. Cost under a tenner to send. They were pretty quick, had a replacement back in about a week. Their comms is a bit weak, other than that the RMA service was top notch.

wow that's crazy, i didn't know that about EVGA,
i think i'll no longer be buying their stuff if it has to ship to america for that cost...

yeah, originally after posting on their forums i was told to contact someone at the germany office (have their email too if you want it) but i bought my card on ebay from the US so it had to be claimed on the US warranty so i was referred to that other guy.
