Has anyone recently RMA'd anything to EVGA in Germany?

My 280 is a bit dodgy and I was wondering what stock they were shipping out in replacement.

Anyone offer up their recent experiences with them?

Thanks

Had to rma my 285 F.T.W through ocuk shop and EVGA could not replace my card so got my money back from EVGA.

What's wrong with the 280?

EVGA are known to be really really anal about RMA replacements recently, so I'd make sure it goes back absolutely spotless (no dust) and as new if you can if you send it back. Also make sure the packaging is more than adequate, and get it signed for and insured on delivery.

Also take some photos of the card and it's condition (lots) before you send it, and email them to EVGA first using the RMA contact if you can, otherwise hold on to them.

*sigh*

I just sent my 8800 to them on wednesday without doing any of that. I'm just gonna hope now that they don't make an issue of it >_<

Surely you can't be blamed for dust etc? Its expected that dust gets into a computer at some point or another and you can't constantly check it for it?

Evga are pretty good with rmas as long as there is no Physical damage or signs of abuse you will be ok as EVGA allow you to take the coolers of their boards and videocards.

Thanks guys

I do have a second gpu a bfg GTX295, but I am a bit concerened that with the 280 being eol and only the 285 as a suitable replacement they might be getting anal.

I might just sit on it for a while and see. But its hitting my folding hard :(
I have taken on board all the advice and will follow it as best I can. Thanks
