has something happened to EVGA UK? have you contacted them

they are excellent with customer support, hence my current card choice and previous EVGA GTX1080

Interested in this too, are they only offering you Germany? Normally you send it to Preston I think. I always buy EVGA cards for the reason that RMAs are easy and fast.

i had to rma my 1080 ti ftw3 card back to Germany, at the time i contacted uk support but was directed to eu support center (possible my card wasn't in stock in the uk), the advice and support i got was second to none, the process was very good, my card was picked up and around 4 day's later it arrived in Germany, around a week later after testing i had a replacement to my door via dhl, tracking too which was nice.

not sure how long it will take now covid-19 is still around, plus you may need to pay for shipping as it was around 2 years ago when i had my card.

It will more than likely take longer due to covid, head over to the EVGA forums it some time's help to start a thread on there.

well to send my 2080ti fully insured is going to cost around £80 and when I bring this up to evga they point me in the direction of terms and conditions or royal mail economy but the insurance is only up to 50 pound what a joke EVGA it seems is either employing some right monkeys or have sadly slipped down the mountain of customer service as they totally ignored my request to escalate to a manager and have had to forward it my self to one hopefully will get a uk shipping adress what happened to EVGA rep on here

That's bad, lucky for me the shop i got mine from is doing a 48hr turn around in the UK.
Have you tryed ups they are very reliable.
Make a fuss on the evga forum and that will get you noticed and with luck they mite help you out.

Sorted had a few words with manager who in turn spoke to techies now have a shipping label they are paying both ways as a one off

sad news is they have indeed stopped using the UK warehouse due to costs so all RMA’s will be going through Germany. I dought we will get UK RMA again.

but this is going to make RMA of high end cards expensive

Great news and that's why I jumped at the 48hr turn around from the uk shop ill only need to pay one way and wont be without the card, saying that ive never had a EVGA card fail on me as of yet.

I had a nightmare with one of their PSUs, I had to return the damn thing several times to Germany, they always supplied DHL/UPS labels though, no cost involved from my end.

Got really good RMA service off EVGA for the PSU and 2080ti I returned. The PSU I got back was better spec (it was a 1000W) and I got a new 2080ti (my GPU literally blew apart it had a massive crack in it and the top right corner completely burnt off/melted)

especially post Brexit because you'll likely have customs declarations to make (or made for you on behalf of the shipping company). That wasn't a political statement btw just pointing out the value/cost of RMA in the future

Blew apart mine craft with ray tracing on??

well I’ll send it off Friday and hopefully get it back in a week or so might come at the same time my wc parts come

No it was doing strange temperature fluctuations going from idle 50c to 70c then back again. So I took the cooler off and it was the Black version and its rubbish. It relied on airflow for some of the board, eg left hand VRM's and one of the thermal pads was like folded over on itself. So it corrected it, replaced the TIM on the GPU. Put it back in my PC and had GPUZ benchmark running which is not a very taxing benchmark. I just use it to check the boost clock and basic temps. It was idling fine at 50c stable so I put the benchmark on and it rose steadily to 65c. Sat there for about 5 minutes fine I thought. Then BANG it was like a gun had gone off, luckily the shock didnt get me I just reacted and turned off my PC. There was a really bad smell of burning. Checked my PC up and down and it looked fine. The card looked okay just smelt really bad. Took the cooler off and the top right of the GPU had melted, a big crack from top to bottom of the GPU and part of it had cracked off. The underside of the cooler was black and part of the board was black. So I carefully put it back together including the broke off piece and held it back with TIM. RMA'd it explaining what had happened fearing they would say I caused it somehow but no got a brand new card. 7 Day turn around from Germany RMA. Quite good. Bought a B grade 2080ti off OCUK it had Space Invaders, sent it back and got a brand new 2080 which is still in my PC now.
