EVGA SuperNova 850 G2 - Time to upgrade?

Hey all,

Had this PSU since around 2015 so I think there is still a couple of years warranty to run - I am contemplating either a 4070Ti or a 4080 and questioning if this is still a good enough PSU to run these cards alongside my 5600x

Hoping I can get another couple of years out of it but if not what do people recommend?

It's a very good psu built by Superflower for EVGA so should be more than enough.

Nope, you'll be fine, no point buying a new PSU before you at least try the old one in any case. Remember NV and AMD err very much on the side of caution with reccomended PSU requirements.

Runs fine with the 4080 which only maxes out so far around 300w.

I have one a year or two younger had it up to 400w on teh 3090 no problems

Got exactly rhe same psu and age. So good to know its a decent one
