EVGA terminates relationship with NVIDIA

You just said, AMD are smart, Nvidia is lead by a sociopathic personality.

You were also overly defending AMD when people such as myself spoke of subjective experiences of Radeon drivers.

Keep it up, next you may buy some stock or already have?

I believe humbug did have shares with amd a while back, not sure about now though.

Some good CEO's have sociopathic personality traits, that doesn't mean they are murderous people, but it is what makes them good CEO's. But it can also be their undoing.

It don't matter, we just know not to trust a single word that comes out of your mouth, you are paid in.

I didn't say he was a sociopath, lots of people can be sociopathic about something they are passionate about without being actual sociopaths.

Jensons need to win is sociopathic.

Always the way here :D You say something bad about amd = "nvidia fanboy", say something bad about nvidia = "amd fanboy"

As you know too well, I'm no fan of nvidia and do much prefer amd (3080 was first nvidia gpu since the 8800, been on several amd cards since then), amd are the lesser of 2 evils but ultimately I couldn't care less about either of their business practices these days, whatever matches my needs for my budget will get my money and with amd now deciding that they can charge the same as their competitor even when they didn't/weren't offering the same full package... it didn't make much sense to buy the lesser product for a similar price (or rather a more expensive price due to zero chance of getting one in the UK for MSRP...). Especially since I'm no longer willing to wait for months/years for it to catch up :p

Apparently nvidia priced their 30xx FE accordingly because of amd being competitive for the first time in a while though..... so if the hype train for 7xxx is true then going by the same logic, we should see nvidia price their 40xx FE accordingly too?

Not long to find out with the next range on Tuesday.
Well you have known my style of posting long enough and I do love a bit of a wind up. I do prefer NVidia (better the devil you know and all that) but will buy whatever suits me best at the time of purchase though and have no loyalty to any brand. Banter is life though and the only way forward :D :D

That's how I work too, if my experience was bad with one of them, I will make sure everyone knows it as a reason for my own personal choices, that is kind of how it works lol.
It's when they all get into denial and start turning it into a VS when all you were doing was sharing your experiences.. that really ticks me off.

6000 series have been solid from what most folk have said.

How have you been @Gregster ? :)
Very good cheers bud. Not really been gaminng for over a year now and been more into drone flying and getting drunk at weekends. I am hoping to get back to gaming though, now the weather has cooled off and looking at the next iteration of GPUs to see what is what. I still follow the usuals on YT, so I am still in the loop but just not had the wanting to game. Hope you are well?

I was going to jump on a 3090 but glad I held off and still have my trusty 2080Ti to fall back on. AMD was never a good gaming experience for me but I put that down to bad luck. It wouldn't stop me buying though and if they have a decent 7 series, I will give it a lot og consideration.

I was genuinely disappointed to see EVGA pull out of the GPU market though, as I have always had a good experience in the cards I have owned but hey ho, there is plenty of choice and if EVGA decide to back AMD, that could well be a good thing

To my knowledge he never has said that before .

Maybe it was someone else, iirc, it might have been in the cpu section, someone else can do some google-fu to confirm though :p

Well I think we can all agree, the silence on it says the most.
Not that he would admit it now, as it would kind of invalidate a lot of his posts/threads :p

I just bought a new 165Hz HDR screen.

Its a Free-Sync Premium screen, however you turn that on it turn HDR on, and it turns out i don't like the HDR image quality, the screen is a little washed out in normal mode, its even more washed out in HDR made, or Free-Sync Premium mode, (to my eyes anyway) when you turn it on it disables the RGB settings along with a bunch of other settings, and i use RGB ecte... to tune the screen to how i like it.

So in tuning the screen to how i like it i can't use Free-Sync Premium.

So, i have to rely on a setting in the Nvidia control panel called "Fast Sync", and in all honesty i cannot tell the difference between using that and Free-Sync, there is 0 screen tearing with Fast Sync, even at 30 FPS or 300 FPS, nothing, its perfect.

So there it is, something i like about Nvidia, Fast Sync, its ###### brilliant, whats more, i actually need it if i'm to continue using the screen how i like it.

I am too, i was seriously considering an EVGA card as my next one, so yeah, this stings a little.
