So, just over two years ago now, I decided to ditch my creaking, branded Athlon 6000+ system (and its wobbly, erratic SATA ports)- known at the time as EvilEdna- and plunge into the realms of a decent rig- mainly from browsing these very forums, and getting rather envious of all the lovely shiny things.

I set myself up with a 2500K, SSD and a second-hand 5870 graphics card. Clocked it up to 4.5GHz, and there it stayed. That was EvilEdnaII, and has served me well until very recently. Halfway through its life, I bought an Antec 1100 case. Not the tidiest build ever, but as my first effort, I think I did OK...

My finances have improved a little since then, so just before Christmas, I decided to construct EvilEdnaIII.
Having spent a year clearing the credit card off, I decided to fill it up again...

4770K (currently @4.5GHz)
Gigabyte Z87x-UD4H
8GB G-Skill Ripjaws X 1600 (from last system)
Sapphire 7950 Vapor-X (£140 on ebay- get in!)
Samsung 128GB Evo SSD
Prolimatech Black Genesis cooler/2x Bitfenix Spectre Pro PWM 140mm
Lamptron FC6 fan controller, with 4 Xigmatek Blackline and an Akasa Venom 120mm
DGM IPS 24" monitor
plus 2 1TB Samsung HDDs carried over.

So now the time has come to needlessly change something: Corsair Carbide 540 on the way, should be here Monday!

One issue has reared its head... I've got an annoying vibration somewhere in the case, think it's the bottom panel with the HDDs on it.
Sort of a buzz, with an underlying hum, loud enough to be extremely irritating...

Good news is, I have a cunning plan to fix it...
