Ex McLaren employee steals 330K McLaren

Well now I know why I had to hand in my uniform when I left my position at another company earlier this week. Though trying to steal 60+kg magnet would be kind of hard.

The guy really didn’t think this through. Not sure how he intend on flipping a rare and exclusive car.

But mclaren can’t be let off the hook. Do they not need key cards to get on site?

In a general sense I've rarely worked anywhere a bit of confidence, high vis and a clipboard doesn't open many doors - in a less dramatic fashion I've done stuff like this as part of my job (in actually very similar setup as portrayed in the clip in terms of business type) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-UljTDys8I

Thief: Hi, I’d like to sell my McLaren 675LT
Dealer: Great, can I see the registration documents, manual, etc?
Thief: Eeerrrrrmmm……

He admitted theft and got eight months’ jail, suspended for 18 months, at Guildford crown court.
That all he got for stealing a £330,000 car

Guessing if he of stole my ford focus the judge would have paid him for stealing it  :( :(

Probably do, but I've never worked anywhere it wasn't easy to tailgate someone else.
Yep. One of the first things we were told is that if you cease to work here then all uniforms and ID should be handed back. We get access all-areas badges, which means free access to all manner of expensive, dangerous and damaging materials, so whilst they'd remove the access from the system for your badge there's nothing stopping you from wearing it and merely tailgating people through doors.
