Hey everyone
I'd like to build a pc using a b450 board (when they're out) probably a strix since Linus seems to use them often and I like the design paired with 16gb 3200 mhz ram and a ryzen 2400G however I'd like to use the 2400 as a stopgap solution since I won't be able to afford the good stuff (evga 1080/ti and a 2700X) till probably later this year .So my question is would my build aka 2400G + 16gb ram be adequate for 30-40 fps 720p med-high in current games and also less demanding ones like space engineers and Minecraft (I still like it )?
Thanks in advance

Yeah, it should do the job nicely, from what I've seen even the most demanding games should play "fine" on the 2400g with reduced settings.

Have a look at this series, he goes through and shows settings and performance for a number of different games on the 2400g

You want to go from PS4 to PC, and you want a junk PC? This makes no sense. The performance of an APU compared to PS4 will be miserable. Stick to console until you have 1500 squids or so to throw at the PC. Never buy peacemeal, never start with crap parts and upgrade. It's financially foolish.

^^^ What this guy said. I'd not buy anything now to then have to replace, it's simply a waste of money. Get the budget first, then buy the whole shooting match.

As a point of reference, I was a long time PC gamer over 15 years ago and moved to console and only in the last few years migrated back. I have an Xbox One (first edition) and upgraded my HP Microserver to an old as hell quad core Xeon 1265l V2 with a GTX 750ti and at 1080p with medium settings it ran GTA 5 at higher frames than my Xbox One and also looked better. That was the catalyst that resulted in a full purpose gaming rig, although I did it on a budget buying used CPU, board and RAM. Still, the setup I have p!$$es all over any console in terms of FPS and graphical quality, not even remotely comparable! My base unit cost me around £800ish in total, £409 of that was the GPU!
