Very frustrating issue, which I don't seem to be able to resolve via the BIOS etc, so hopefully someone here who's knowledgeable can help...?

Without audio playing, my network copy is very good at around 35-55MB/s. As soon as I have audio of any type playing (or have played and then pressed pause/stop but application is still open), network performance drops to around 4-7MB/s (so in effect maxing out a 100Mbps connection after overhead etc). If I exit audio app, network performance goes back up to previous values.

There seems no way in the BIOS to force the network and Audio off to seperate (legacy) interrupts.

Everything is the same irrespective of drivers or BIOS version (tried F9E as well), and I'm using latest drivers from web as of today.

Clues anyone or am I stuck with pi**-poor network when I'm also listening to music (which is on local hard disk so not over network/internet, so not intefering).

I have never been a big fan of onboard networking, especially when you can pick up a decent independant gigabit network card for like 30 pounds.
