after learning javascript ill be making my gfs website, which will basically have information about her, photos of her, cv, contact details, training and work she has done etc and then also have some ads and such.

Im looking for examples of websites and help on how to plan this.

Anyone recommend examples of simplish websites for roughly sort of thing i have said mine will have

Also anytips on how to go about planning this whole thing. e.g. start with a piece of paper and draw it etc, then html, then deisgn th graphics etc.

I will be doing all the work from the programming to the grpahics for the website and this is my first ever just incase that helps.

thanks all

I guess i'd suggest some of my designs if your going for the 'simple' look :)

For planning i usually start by looking at other sites for inspiration whilst jotting down ideas and sketches on paper, then progress to make a few design in photoshop and transform them into html coding ... and then tweak them until they look right.

As for designing - always remember the simpliest way is almost always the best ... once you start making things complicated you usually start to struggle with making everything working together.

also while im here, what size in pixels should i by looking at for a website? i have a widscreen 21" so obivously i could make it large as in 1650x1050 and it would fit but then a 800x600 wouldn't be able to see it all well. what should it be so that when iplan it i know what can fit in.

Should I bother answering if your going to come back with another sarcastic comment?

lol, sorry - got the wrong end of the stick then :o

IMO those sites are pretty simple , especially adobe's

Personally I use 730px for a websites width, as it fits on 800*600 without scrolling and isn't to slim for larger resolutions.
