Hi can anyone help,

Since running the technical refresh my excel 2007 is refusing to open any files made with previous versions of office, i.e 2003(the same is also true for word).

What is going on, excel is trying to blame the anti-virus, norton 2006, but even with this disabled the problem continues.

Any help much appreciated

andy

I never use any sort of beta and even more betas of Software which normally cost a lot.

Vista beta and Office 2007 beta no thanks, your going to encounter problems all the time with them hence they are free and are going to cost a lot of money when the official release is out.

As for your Excel 2007 beta, re install Office 2003 Pro :)

Until now office 2007 hasn't missed a beat, superb bit of kit and very easy to use.

As I should have guessed the issue was with the Norton POS and it's office plug-in, really got to find an easy to use alternative to replace it.
