Excel 2008, Highlighting Duplicates

Hi,

I currently entering data into a spreadsheet and would like to it highlight duplicate information that has been entered. So if a duplicate email address gets entered it would let me know. Would also be useful if same first and surname gets entered. After some googling i haven't been able to find a way that works. Anyone able to help me out?

order it by the email address and do a IF(A1 = A2,"Duplicate","Not A Dupe") then just copy the formula down.
