Hi Everyone,

Wondering if anyone knows a quick answer to this, my Google-fu is sucking.

We have a lot of Excel 2010 (windows) based reports that use database query strings back to our SQL server(s). Typically our admin staff run these who are all on Windows so not an issue.

However one of our Design based managers has decided that they now want to start running some of these reports themselves on their Mac running Office 2011.

This is where the problem comes in, on the Mac the database query strings appear to be non-existant. All of the options regarding refreshing data from external sources and parameters etc are greyed out. Clicking refresh all only refreshes things like pivot tables (if present), it does not call external data.

Is Office for Mac 2011 compatible with SQL query strings created from a 2010 for Windows machine?

Thanks in advance.
