Excel Brain Freeze!! Trying to do 00, 01, 02, etc

Hi guys,

I'm trying to do 00 in one cell, 01 in another, 02 in another, etc. But, each time, Excel drops the preceeding '0'. So I end up with 0, 1, 2, etc

I want the '0'. How to I do it again?

Can you not just make it 2 charactors instead of 1 in the options for the cells?

Make the cell properties text and that should work

I'd go with the approach of changing the cell format to 'Custom' and putting '00' withouth quotes in the type box. That way excel will still recognise it as a number should you need to do any calculaions on it. (Excel 2003 by the way)
