Excel - difference between 2 dates/time

Hi

I have an Excel sheet with 4 columns which are

COLUMN A (start date) - 01/10/2017
COLUMN B (start time) - 04:15:17
COLUMN C (finish date) - 03/10/2017
COLUMN D (finish time) - 06:25:11

I need a formula to work out the difference in hours between the start and finish please.

=(C1+D1)-(A1+B1)

Then format the column to [hh]:mm:ss

I tried that and it just gives the difference between the times and ignore the days so the result is
02:09:54

square brackets around the [hh] are important
