Hey,

In excel you can do '=Sheet1.$A$52' and by using the '$' this cell number is not changed when dragging it out into other columns - my question the is how can i get this dollar to be set when i just type in = and select a cell with the mouse? I am hoping i can just hold down another key or something...

This is going to save me a lot of time and hair if any one can help!

Big thanks!

I believe you can press F4 after you've selected the cell in question. However, I'm not sure if there's any key available that you can press at the same time as selecting the cell to ensure an absolute reference.

I spent a good while today trying to get around this problem with vlookups, didn't know about the dollar sign or F4, cheers :o.
