Excel Formatting help

Does anyone know what formula I can use to convert a time in excel e.g 10:30 into text 10.30???

in the formatting box, choose custom, then enter hh.mm

I need it to be stored as the number 10.30 not a time value.

What's the calculation you're doing on the value?

I assume that's why you need it as a string anyway

don't know to be honest its one of our users that wanted to know

cant do as its in time format it changes it to for example 10:30 in time to 0.44 in number

You can use find and replace to find : and replace it with .

ie 10:30 becomes 10.30.00

Haven't figured out how to get rid of the .00 at the end though.
