I've got a pile of data and trying to get a nice dynamic graph working but i can't quite get it to do what i want and not sure if it's possible due to the amount of variables.

Basically i have a list of offices, then a list of Process types and finally a list of varying data (Not worded that well, hopefully a picture helps)

So we have the list of "offices" in the top left. This is pretty self explanatory. Then on the right is a list of processes we do to turn raw materials into finished goods. Then bottom left are the types of things i'd like to track (Number of hours spend on that activity, input, output etc)

All this is tracked by quarterly totals. The data is stored in 5 columns

Quarter - Office - Type - Category - Amount

(I originally had a seperate column for each quarter but that made things worse!)

The graph as shown above works alright providing you don't want to do any comparisons. The actual line graphs track the "Categories" on the left. So in the above example i can compare the input and output for "Reactivation" work.

However if i want to compare the outputs of a few different types of activity (Say Impregnation and Reactivation) it just adds the 2 together. Like this

Likewise the way it's setup, i'm unable to compare Office 1 against Office 2

Is there anything i can do within Excel that allows me to do what i want (ie compare multiple different scenarios)? Happy to re-order the data into a different format if needed. Although i think i'm going to need to do different graphs depending on different modeling.

Cheers
