I've got some graphs I need to do for an assignment. Now I've done them to an acceptable level for me but I'd like to improve them if possible.

I've got some traceroute results to display and I've done that as I've said but they could be improved if I were able to edit where the bars start from.

At the moment all the bars in my bar chart start from 0ms but where the lowest time is say 67ms and the highest is 75ms for example, I'd like the bar to start at 67ms not 0ms and carry on to 75ms. Does anyone know how to do this with Excel 2000 or 2007? If not it isn't a problem as the graphs have been done but its just for aethetics really that I'm looking to do this.

Right mouse on the axis you want to change and select format axis. Go to the Scale tab and change the minimum figure to 67 and the maximum to 75

Thanks, that is a step forward but doing that affects all the bars. I need to be able to do this but to each bar. Not every hop result will be between 67 and 75 you see. Some start at 0ms and end at 1ms, some others are 89ms to 93ms. So they are all varied and so I can't apply this to all of them.

I don't think you can do that with a bar chart as thats not really what a bar chart is for. Stock charts can show high and low values but you also need a closing value... maybe you could use the average for that? You will then get a line going from the lowest time to the highest with a marker at the average.

Yeah I just tried that. My values are quite close together so the stock value bars look crap and small so I might just leave this as it is. Thanks anyway.
