Hope somebody can help here.

I have a set of data which i've smoothed in Excel using a 2nd Order Polynomial Trendline.
There is an option to display the formula which is
y = -7E-05x2 + 0.004x - 0.005
How do I use this on the data i have in order to recalculate y?

If somebody has a link which could help explain this that would help too, thanks.

Sorry if I'm being thick...why do you need to recalculate y? The values of y should be recalculated automatically by Excel when you change the data set.

As far as the formula goes...

The formula begins with minus seven times ten to the power of minus five times x squared. This is easily calculatable with most calculators, and the rest of the formula is just a simple substitution.
