Hello,

Quite a simple problem I'm sure.

I have two spreadsheets, each share two columns, article number and price.

Article Number in spreadsheet 1 will have some matching values in spreadsheet 2.

Spreadsheet 2 contains the up to date prices so I want spreadsheet 1 to look into spreadsheet 2, match article for article and update the price.

So basically it needs to match an article number on spreadsheet 2 and takes it's price and update spreadsheet 1 and ignore any unmatching article numbers on either spreadsheet 1 or 2.

Let me know if you can't understand and I will try to explain it better.

the formula vlookup is your friend on this problem

yeah I thought so, did have a play but didn't get too far.

Can't work out how I'd get it to find same article number in second sheet and use price in that sheet to change price in sheet 1.

Can you post an example of what you have so far? vlookup will def work for what you want, so its just a case of figuring out where its currently failing.

I think I have cracked it, just spot checking results to make sure prices have been updated correctly.
