Was just fiddling about in Excel for a while there, trying to knock together a simple worksheet that calculates the weekly wage of a fictional employee.
I got all the usual Day, Date, Time In and Time Out coloums sorted out, but when I come to the coloum that would calculate his daily wage I get a #NAME error.
What I was doing was taking the Time Out value (expressed in Time on Cell Properties, eg 17:00:00) and Subtracting the Time In column (eg: 09:00:00) which was ok, and giving me a result on 08:00:00 (8 hours, right?) in a seperate column (Using Time again) and then trying to multiply that by a Currency Value (eg: £6.00).
It doesn't work.
to be honest I didn't think it'd be as easy as that, so, what is my error?
