I wonder if anyone has ever come across a macro in excel that will grey out all the rows you're not looking at (bar the first row so I can see the column headers).

I'm using excel as my markbook at school, and I really don't want other students to be able to see other marks when I am discussing their progress with them.

couldn't you just use a pivot table and select the students name? it'd only show anything to do with them then.
