Hi

Ive copied a playlist from Itunes to Excel (select entire playlist then copy and paste if you want to try it at home) However when pasted as text into Excel it formats the time as hours and minutes instead of minutes and seconds ie

a song which is 3 mins 39 seconds (3.39) will end up as 3 hours and 39 minutes (3.39.00)

This obviously causes a problem when adding time and I cant find anyway to get the time to paste correctly.

Any ideas? I can supply an excel file if anyone doesnt have Itunes to try it with.

Thanks

I can't think of a way to stop excel assuming that it's hours and minutes rather than minutes and seconds (without going through the hassle of editing the source data).

Once it's pasted into excel you could just add a column next to the times and set the values to be the hh:mm time divided by 60.
