My supervisor needs to change a cell that holds the budget hours but it keeps saying its locked, when she clicks unlock spreadsheet it asks for a paasword. Neither of us have the old managers number, is there any other way to change the cell?

Cheers.

If you can open the workbook without a password, odds are you can use a macro based crack to unlock cells/worksheets.

Have a quick google for macro excel password, and something useful will crop up.

Then you're got a big problem. You could try copying the data into a new spreadsheet, but if there's macros or lots of formulas in it it might not work very well.

I'm home now, thanks for the replies.

I've found my old managers number out, so I've text it to my supervisor so she can phone him.

If hes changed numbe, or doesn't remember it. I read you can open the spreadsheet in Open Office, then re-save it again to remove the password?

Thanks again guys.
