Installed the latest Asus 190.45 GTX 285 driver last night and I could'nt believed my eyes. DX 11:eek: Well, the scrennie is not re-sized purposely so you can check all the details. The GPU is overclocked using the Asus Smart Doctor and was tested for 3 hours on COD 4 only. It runs cooler and smoother than previous driver using stock cooler though idle temp is now 48-49C.

This is posted hoping other Asus owner can confirm this findings as I could'nt find any news regarding Asus modding NVidia drivers to run DX 11.

If the hardware doesn't support dx11 then the drivers won't be able to change anything to make it work. Im pretty sure thats just saying the os supports dx11 not the card.

As pointed out GPU-Z is correctly reporting that your hardware is DX10/SM4.0 and DXDiag is correcting reporting that you have the latest DirectX 11 installed.

if you look under the shaders box on the tech powerup page, it states 240 ( dx 10.0 )

I missed this one. Anyway, thanks a lot for the heads up everyone. Looks like i've stirred the hornest nest.:D
