Hi

I wonder if you guys have any suggestions...

I recently noticed some extreme uneven front tyre wear on my Bonneville. It's on the front right side.

So far I've ruled out:

Under inflation - I always keep the pressures to the recommended specs in the handbook and have been on sites like triumphrat to confirm the pressures with other users.

The tyres themselves - I recently swapped out the old Metzelers for Avons. The same problem is happening.

Road camber - This didn't happen when I purchased the bike and other bikes along a similar work commute route do not have the problem.

I've not knocked or fallen off the bike and I've kept the chain tension between 20mm-30mm as recommended.

So I'm a bit stuck. It's still within warranty so I guess that will be my last call unless anyone has some suggestions?

Thanks.

Has you wheel been balanced.

Weird thing is, they're worn so much on the one side it looks like he's done 2k+ miles. There's a strip that looks just as worn as my 3k tyres and he's only done something like 200. I wouldn't expect any visible wearing after just 200 miles!

It's not a Bridgestone by any chance? The front BT021 on my Aprilia RSV wore pretty much flat on the right hand side as though I had been roundabout surfing for a few hours (I hadn't!). I've not had any other tyres wear the same way.

Pics would help a lot to solve this one OP. RH wear being more than LH wear on a front tyre in the uk would be expected, even more so if you normally use a lot of roundabouts.
