Exchange 2000 and public calendars

Hello people

We have a department at work who want to use public calenders within outlook. They want:

One calendar for the department
One calendar each for each member of staff (and access to each others)

I have set up the department calendar and all that is sorted, however I am a bit unsure about the user calendars. What is the best way to connect to another user's calendar and have a shortcut? I have got it working but the only way was going onto the user's workstation, adding the whole mailbox and creating the shortcut, and I am sure there is a much easier and more practical way of doing it?

Any help appreciated.
 
Yup, just need to set the relevant folder permissions (Outlook 2007 has the 'share calendar' feature) then that's about it really.
