Exchange 2003 exams`

Want to get some exchange qualifications under my belt, any tips etc. I'm MCSA, HP APS at the mo so can do the MS exams within reason.

The next step from MCSA would be MCSE. Which elective exam did you do for your MCSA?

MCDST which doesn't count towards the MCSE

I'm thinking of getting my MCSA + messaging and then heading on to the remainder of the MCSE track

Wouldn't bother, just start on Exchange 2007.

Then do the 2008 track.

yeah 2003 is EOS next year so wouldn't bother with it.

No harm in doing 2k3 if he already has the skills and would just be brushing up for an exam, he would then only be a couple of exams away from his MCSE on 2003 which could then be easily upgraded to 2008 in the future.

the trouble most people will have with doing an exchange 2007 or Server 2008 qualification is lack of access to the systems, most companies haven't deployed exchange 2007 yet and I know of very few people who had gone AD 2008 as of yet. Yes you can set it all up in a virtual lab environment and Test King your way through the exams but it's no replacment for real life experience and understanding. There are still plenty of jobs out there for people with 2003 exchange/server skills and I have seen very few job adverts demeanding 2007/2008 skills.
