Essentially what we are seeing is this:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/danielke...es-not-match-the-name-of-the-site-part-2.aspx

But also not.

We have a hub server, and each "post" (location) has a local exchange server where the mailboxes for those users in that location are hosted.

Thing is, when I open Outlook, I get the above cert error but it mentions the hub as the cert rather than the local Exchange box.

Surely that's not right and it should be pointing to the users local exchange box.

Any ideas?

We don't use OWA, so no, we don't

:)

This is normally the case when the virtual directory has a different name to what the certificate has. Self signed certificates are fine so long as you aren't using Outlook anywhere like you say (unless they are on the domain).

If you check the internal URL's on the OWA, Active Sync & OAB properties under hub transport on the CAS server this will tell you what name is being presented. You can then adjust the certificate to suit or keep the certificate and change the internal URL's.

This might have been better placed in the Enterprise forum :)
