Exchange 2007 license question

Theoretical question for you chaps, if you installed the 32 bit trial version on a 32 bit server machine and then tried to activate it fully with the service code.

Would it go crazy, as it’s meant for 64bit systems only?

Hope that makes sense, I’ve been thinking about it today for some reason

It won't accept the 64-bit key because it's for a different product.

Exchange 2007 full is 64-bit only (only the evaluation version is 32-bit), so while I don't believe you can do a direct upgrade you should be able to import all the data from the mailboxes.

Thanks for the replies, i thought that might be the case as the full version is only 64bit.

I was just wondering if anyone has actually tried to do it?

I suppose as said in this thread, it just wouldnt accept the code.
