Exchange 2007 not supported on 2008 R2

Only Exchange 2010 is supported on Server 2008 R2.

Is there a specific reason you need R2 to be the OS for your exchange 2007 server?

no. Was just making a point. It's worth bearing in mind for any companies wanting to roll out new servers with exchange.

Nah, there's work arounds for the errors you get during install. You have to do the prep work on R1 for example.

Should be fixed I would have thought, although there's rumors that it won't be supported at all. That would suck monkey. It's probably related to the Powershell funkery, R2 is PS2 isn't it? 2k7 is PS1?

I tell you what though, SP2 for 2007 is a world of pain if you don't have the relevant rights etc. during install. Error after error. If I had any hair I'd have pulled it out already.

I imagine it will end up being like the fact you cant install 2007 RTM on 2008 SP1 at all....I'm sure they'll release an update or something, so many companies are still on 03
