Arrrgh! I thought this was supposed to be a fully integrated solution MS you lying %$^&$^&$&$!
Rant over.
Has anyone backed up exchange 2007 sp1 storage groups on DPM 2007? I'm trying it out but can't get it to work.
First of all I had to find a 32bit version of eseutil (not as easy as you'd think with exchange 2007 being 64bit only!)
Now I keep getting this error:
DPM has detected a discontinuity in the log chain for Storage group <storage group name> on <exchange server name> since the last synchronization. (ID 30216 Details: Unspecified error (0x80004005))
There hasn't been a synchronization yet because it won't create the initial restore point until this error is cleared.
Exchange isn't in CCR so half the articles on the net about it are out. I've disabled cyclical logging.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to unmount the storage groups and then run the initial sync but apart from that I'm out of ideas and waiting for MS to call me back.
It's a shame because it's running great for SQL, System State and Drive backups. Just this &$$&^$^$ exchange server.
If anyone's come across this or has some useful advice I'd be mighty obliged.
