Hi.
We recently upgraded to an Exchange 2010 environment.
Some of the client PCs use Outlook 2003.

It appears that when the users of these PCs set OoO it only responds to internally sent email.
Anyone sending from an external source does not get an OoO reply. I have tested this on two different machines.

Has anyone else come across this?
I am thinking it is compatability as in Outlook 2010 the OoO has options for internal and external recipients when used with Exchange 2010, whereas Outlook 2003 just has one OoO option for all.

Any thoughts on a resolution?

Andrew

Can the 2003 Outlook users go into OWA and set Internal / External OoO and it works? if so then its diff 2003 outlook as the cause. :)

Thanks for the reply but one of our other guys sorted it.
There is a setting under the hub transport for allowing 'legacy' Outlook versions to send OoO to external recipients.

Bit hidden away but seems to do the trick!

I thought there was an option the global settings for exchange 2003 to send them internally and externally or only internally. i think it was introduced with sp2 maybe...
