Hi all,

We setup a new Exchange 2010 server about two months ago and then shipped it out to China.
It has only just been switched on at the China offices.
In the time it took to get it shipped over, SP1 has been released for Exchange 2010.
If anyone has installed it they will know that there is an issue where the machine needs to be in the same site as the GC.
Our GC is in our UK Site, the server is in the China site.
Should be straight forward method of moving the Exchange server temporarily into the UK site, running SP1 update and then moving it back.

Problem:
In Sites & Services the China Exchange server doesn't appear anywhere.
So we can't move it into the UK site.
If we try and run the SP1 update it tells us that it must be in the same site as our GC.

Any ideas as to why this Exchange 2010 server isn't appearing in Sites & Services?

- AFAIK exchange always needs a site local GC

- Why would it show up in sites and services?

- Site membership is set at computer login by comparing the ip address of the server to the ip address list in sites and services.
