The change from 2010 to 2013 was one that has left me more confused that i could have anticipated.
First off this is my issue:
"This message has been blocked because the HELO/EHLO domain is invalid"
That error is coming up for a few people that try to email us, i assumed this was as simple as setting the FQDN on the receive connector to the same as my DNS MX record.
Receive connectors:
Client Frontend EXCHANGE - Port 587
Client Proxy EXCHANGE - Port 465
Default EXCHANGE - Port 2525
Default Frontend EXCHANGE - Port 25
Outbound Proxy Frontend EXCHANGE - Port 717
So i know that my Defauult Frontend EXCHANGE is set correctly, i've got that set to mail.domain.net, but all the others are set to exchange.domain.local, and in order to change those i'd have ot untick "exchange server authentication" but i don't know which ones id need to change (if any) and what i might break by removing that setting.
Help!
EDIT: NEVERMIND! fixed, wasn't an exchange issue anyway, it was reverse DNS.
