Exchange 2K3 - Adding a new email address

Gents, I assume this is quite easy.

I have a user (we'll call him Tim) within AD who wants to be able to receive email for an imaginary account (i.e. [email protected]) although david doesn't actually exist.

Can I just add [email protected] to this users email adresses under active directory, or do I have to create a group, assign the email address [email protected], then add tim to that group?

in the AD just create a new SMTP address for the account.

(open user account, email addresses tab)

will I? The default policy is to allow anything at @mydomain.com

no you wont need to change the policy as it is the same domain.

Just add a new SMTP address for the user as said above
