Exchange Activesync Issues

I am having a few issues with exchange activesync.

Windows SBS 2003 With Exchange 2003 SP2

HTC Desire Handsets (Android)


The handsets setup and sync without any issue, and work fine for anything between 3-8 days, then they refuse to bring any new items through. They still sync, and wil send items without an issue, just won't bring any new items though. Seems the only way is to delete the account on the handset and recreate it, then its fine for another few days.

SSL is enabled, I have tried with it disabled to see if it made any difference.

Has anyone got any ideas what the issue could be?

You could try this MS Site - https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ to see if there is anything flagged up.

Other things worth checking are the Exchange servers event logs (turn up the exchange logging to see if the devices are hitting the server and failing or not even seeing it). Also worth setting up a WM emulator on a PC and setting up a sync partnership to see if the same problem is encountered.
