exchange diary & pda question

I have a new exchange server that I have installed but not being an exchange person I'm keeping with my current POP3 mail server, but what I want to do is utilise exchange's diary system. I can share the diary and make changes and see the changes on my pc but outlook doesnt sync these to my PDA as it only seems to use the default calendar and not the shared one,

any ideas?

or does anyone know of a free/cheap diary system that will link into office diary?

You need a tool to sync with public folders.

A piece of software called IntelliSync now owned by Nokia can do this.
