Can anyone tell me if there is a way of getting it so that users who are using an android device with their exchange emails synced to it don't have to input their new domain password on the device everytime it expires.

E.g our domain user accounts have the usual 30 day time limit before their password has to be changed. When they change it this then throws their emails out on their phone and it errors in the email app until their go into their settings and put their new password in.

Is there anyway to get it so that the phone automatically picks up the new password? Or should it do this by default and i've got it set up wrong?

It does this on all activesync devices. I am not sure if there is a way around it though.

it annoys our users IOS,WP8 & Android. most have gooten used to it but they still dont like it.

Are you on Exchange or Office 365? 365 has multi factor authentication with app passwords now (like Gmail), which won't expire when the user password does.

on site Exchange 2010. Potentially moving to 365 but not not sure when that will be happening.

So there is no way of stopping it do it? I'm fairly sure our iPhone users don't have the same problem.

Tried a 3rd party app? Some of our users use K9 Mail on Android as it's a damn good mail client, when it fails authentication it offers up their credentials automatically so they can quickly pop in their new password, if accepted, it stores that and uses it for the next 40 days - quite easy really.

not sure how big your are but we do this from our MDM solution mobileiron as soon as the user changes the password in windows it updates the local email client on the device.
