Exchange Hub Transport

Hello,

We are currently having a problem with our exchange 2007 server. Mail is arriving and is sitting in the submission que, however the mail flow troubleshooter reports that "no local hub transport role computers were detected". The server has been fine for the last few weeks, recently there was an rollup update applied to the server.

Any help would be appreciated

Check the exchange services.

Could be a dsaccess issue - anything in the event logs?

only a few items in the event viewer which look unrelated to the problem!

I take it your running all of exchange 2k7 roles bar edge transport on the same server? what else is this server running?

Remove the rollup update asap and see if that fixes it!
If it doesnt it may be you need to run the installer again to reinstall the Exchange binaries or possibly an issue with the hub transport role not being seen as it should.

yeh thats correct, all the roles apart from edge transport. its a sbs 2008 so its running most other common roles ie dhcp, dns etc aswell

Solved - reinstalled the hub transport service and got it working again. thanks guys.
