Hi,

A person has left my company and restarted a sub company under the same domain, to that effect the email domain also needs to go with him.

This has been setup and externally from my company if people email his domain it is recieved correctly. However if people within my exchange server try to email that domain they get a response saying the email address doesnt exist in the company you are trying to send to. Its like my exchange server is still trying to delivery email on that domain internally or wont route it out.

anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like your Exchange server is still configured to be responsible for delivery to this particular domain.

Have a look in ESM under recipient\recipient policies\default policy (if you have one that has not had it's name changed), open the properties for the default recipient policy and click the email addresses (policy) tab. For the domain you no longer host, untick the check box next to it, or select it and click 'edit', remove the check box next too 'this servers is responsible for delivery to this domain'

ok, i have done this and now im getting the following error

A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact your administrator.

any help you be very appreciated :)
